The design concept of 'Butterfly Loves Flower' is rooted in the idea that a butterfly is attracted to a blooming flower. The structure, crafted from pure white steel, emulates a blooming white hibiscus flower nestled within the cliff of the original building. The rustic wood elements create a sensory contrast with the white blocks and light glass, infusing a sense of dynamism into the otherwise serene, pure white space.
The SPA spans 213 square meters, with the ground floor housing the reception hall, manicure area, SPA, and shampoo area. The second floor is home to the VIP room, leisure area, staff activity room, and disinfection room. These sections are interconnected by a transparent glass bridge, a feature that adds to the design's unique appeal.
Fumin Xu's design project, which commenced in February 2018 in Xiamen, was completed in July of the same year. The design's distinct properties and innovative approach to space utilization have earned it a prestigious Golden A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award in 2019. This accolade is granted to exceptional creations that reflect the designer's ingenuity and wisdom, and significantly impact the world with their desirable characteristics.
The 'Butterfly Loves Flower' design is not just a physical space; it is an embodiment of the designer's philosophy. As Fumin Xu notes, "The butterfly will come once you are in full bloom." This design, with its blooming hibiscus inspiration, is indeed in full bloom, attracting admiration much like a flower attracts a butterfly.
